Each November, the Foundation and the Academy convene in Chicago for their Annual Meetings. One of the week’s signature events is the Foundation Reception, held in the historic Cathedral Hall at the University Club of Chicago. Founded in 1887, the Club’s iconic venue is distinguished by a ballroom designed as a “Gothic skyscraper”—the first of its kind—completed in 1909.

The reception, including transportation to and from the event, is made possible entirely through the generous support of friends of the Foundation. Their sponsorship ensures that charitable contributions to the Foundation are maximized in support of its mission.

Beyond its setting, the reception provides Fellows with a valued opportunity to reconnect with long-term colleagues, expand professional networks, and build new relationships in a memorable and collegial atmosphere.
